Berlin’s Mother Recordings make yet another appearance, and so soon into the year. The actively consistent imprint serve up the first episode in what will hopefully be a long and healthy series of label samplers. Titled ‘Mother Tracks Vol.1’ the player offers a wide palette of goodness, which include listings from some of Europe’s finest.
Superlover, Dry & Bolinger, David Keno, Claus Casper, Jean Philips, Dilby and of course Mother’s captain Nhan Solo all bear the pleasure of making an appearance. Given the sonic quality, the choice was hard, but also somewhat obvious. With Dry & Bolinger’s ‘Say You Care’ taking our pick. The young German two piece craft an excellent, bass heavy and simplistic chord driven production. All while carrying that influential Berlin sound.
