DjRUM joins DJ-Kicks mix series for 90th edition

DjRUM contributes a new mix to the long-running DJ-Kicks series, spanning acid, classical, ambient, and electronic across an eclectic selection of club and experimental music.

The mix features four new productions from the UK artist, alongside exclusives from Skee Mask and Clark, with further selections from Chris Watson of Cabaret Voltaire, Venetian Snares, Susumu Yokota, The Raincoats, emptyset, upsammy, and more.

Lead single ‘Psychic Video’ introduces the project with chopped spoken-word samples, dense percussion, and fragmented electronic textures.

The four new productions and the exclusive contributions from Skee Mask and Clark set a baseline for the project before adding a collection of vinyl as source material. The final selections were mixed live across three turntables before being collaged in the studio by DjRUM.
