Claxy return to Anjunadeep for heavily emotional ‘Ahead’ EP

If you weren’t familiar with Claxy up to now, they will certainly be on your radar going forward. The Brazilian duo consisting of Clara Valente and Gui Gautreaux have built up a respectable reputation on the international electronic music scene. They have released on different labels with their refreshing and engaging sound which brings a música popular brasileira touch, a traditional genre from their country’s culture.

After several releases on Natura Viva, the duo debuted on the renowned Anjunadeep imprint in early 2023, after the Anjunadeep 14 VA compilation featured their track ‘Closer’. Now the pair return to the London-based label, for the release of their new ‘Ahead’ EP.

Their return finds the duo present three new originals, which emanate all the emotion and passion they put into music. ‘Overflow’ features Clara’s passionate vocals over an engaging melody marked by soft beats, violins and claps. ‘Forward’ has a more dramatic feel to it, without letting the sublime vibe dissipate. Finally, ‘Every Road’ follows a slightly more dense mood, working with melancholic keys, sober synth work, and the singer’s bass.
