After heading up DFTD’s first compilation DFTD VLM01, and remixing Secondcity’s ‘I Wanna Feel’, Cristoph, the rising force from Newcastle, follows his recent success with another stellar three-track release on DFTD titled ‘Do To Me EP’. The EP’s title track opens things with a bruising sub kick and hypnotic vocals, with swinging hi-hats that are guaranteed to resurrect even the deadest of dance floors. ‘101’ pops off with a crunchy kick and Cristoph’s signature chopped and modulated vocals. The snares are clean and the white noise is crisp; this is a universal party starter. ‘Nowhere To Go’ completes the pack an energetic female vocal followed by a smooth, modulating bass line. The shifting frequencies and fluttering vocal effects make for a steady dance thumper appropriate for any hour.
