So who are Brame & Hamo?

We’re two young fellas from Sligo who are trying to make some half decent music. We also love to watch stupid videos on YouTube.

Your Lamaj’s Secret player for Dirt Crew, can you tell us the story behind it?

Hamo

Yes Lamaj is a special person to us. He inspired us in a lot of ways. He changed the way we make tracks and we can’t thank him enough as he was the main ingredient in this EP.

Lamaj, Four Lights or Garlic Fist Pump?

I think my favorite is Garlic fist pump, one of my favorite tracks of ours that we have put out, also I love the name. Hamo wasn’t quite happy with it though haha.

You launched Splendor & Squalor back in January, why did you guys decide to put together your own imprint?

Hamo

Well we both were working on lots of music and trying to find labels that we liked and also who might take the tracks, which shortens the list quite a bit. We then came to realise that “Why don’t we just set up our own label?” It was easy as that. We were really happy we did and we think it’s a great thing for a producer as you have all the freedom you want.

Who can we expect to see on the label?

Brame

Splendor & Squalour 002 is going to be a solo EP from Hamo with a remix from Kickflip Mike, we’re really digging his stuff at the minute. Then after that there will be another EP from myself and Hamo, after that who knows.

Tell us something we shouldn’t know about you?

Hamo

I actually met Tiarnan in a government office in Sligo, we were both doing our written exam to get our drivers license.

What’s the coolest thing in your house?

Brame

Well, I have just moved into a new place so cool stuff is limited until I get settled, so id say the coolest thing i have now is the new Retrogott EP on AVA. Its unreal.

Well there is so many I would like to recommend but this one because Im feeling this at the moment. “Mystro – Doin It (Prod. Strange Number)”

What does the future hold for Brame & Hamo?

Hopefully some more nice music, some solo stuff by both of us and hopefully an album next year. Hopefully some more nice gigs also, we have had lots of fun Traveling recently.

Eh not too much to add. Just that we have a good few remix’s and EPs later this year and maybe an album sometime in the future.
