With a full player on Detroit Swindles Heist Recordings, a debut EP on their own Splendor & Squalour and their Street Urchin EP on Dirt Crew, Irish mates Brame & Hamo have put their stamp on the land of disco infused deep house over the past two years.
The two now return to Dirt Crew for Lamaj’s Secret, a chunky four tracker boasting three originals and a heavy Andy Hart remix of the Lamaj original. It comes in usual Brame, Hamo and Dirt Crew style, riddled with sampled vocal chops, harmonising synth chords and perfectly mixed drum grooves.
We can’t get enough of this one, especially title track Lamaj, it’s funkadelic synths and hypnotic vocals bring all the soul you need in your life and if that’s not your thing, Garlic Fist Pump adds a taste of hiphop, infused with breaks and funk in a 4/4 pattern.
Andy Hart’s darker edit brings chunky percussion that is all out club ready deep house, his work on the thumpin’ bass line is second to none when it comes to heavy hittin’ low end.
Want more? The Four Lights original delivers jazz, funk and house in a well sliced vibey track that’s stripped back to only give what’s needed, a perfect mid set anthem.
Get ‘Brame & Hamo – Lamaj’s Secret’ from Monday 29th on Dirt Crew Recordings.
