Baleine 3000 to release new album on Vlek

Baleine 3000 are set to release a new, full length record, titled The Nap, on the Vlek imprint on July 29th.

The trio is made up of DJ Afrojaws (Jef Ablezot), Japanese producer Jun Kamoda and the familier Vlek face of Laurent Le Doux. Le Doux, real name Lawrence Baudoux is a veteran of the Belgian scene, having set up shop in Brussell, where Vlek is based, for the last two decades.

Past content from Baleine 3000 is scarce. 2010’s Tour Manager compilation moulded together the sounds of bass, new beat and Baile funk. Only time will tell what kind of diverse persona The Nap will maintain.

The Nap follows the 2015 release of a Vlek solo EP, created by Le Doux, titled Pollution.

For those interested in the artistry of the forthcoming record, the artwork was created using a ypo press and includes hand carved vinyl art straight from the creative mind of Ablezot.

The Nap will be released via Vlek on July 25th.
