Azealia Banks facing potential ban from the UK

Azealia Banks latest Twitter rant, in which she posted vile homophobic, racist and body shaming abuse, is reportedly being investigated by the Home Office. This may lead to Miss Banks being denied future entry to the UK.

The Home Office issued a statement to NME, which reads “Coming to the UK is a privilege, and we expect those who come here to respect our shared values. The Home Secretary has the power to exclude an individual if she considers that his or her presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good or if their exclusion is justified on public policy grounds.”

The 212 singer has issued her own statement in which she has defended her comments. She’s put them down to anger and says that they serve as a reminder to Zayn Malik that they are “both in the same boat in the industry and both people of colour.”

We’ll let you make up your own mind about that one.
