Premiere: Shabaam – Zakatool

Shabaam joins the latest Solid Dark various artists project with ‘Zakatool’, appearing as part of the label’s new 13-track compilation release. The producer adds another entry to a catalogue that has previously included music on labels such as KD Raw and Planet Rhythm.

Solid Dark continues to expand its roster through contributions from a range of artists, with previous releases across the imprint featuring David Kawka and Fabio D’elia. The latest compilation follows a similar approach, bringing together multiple producers across a single project.

‘Zakatool’ centres on tightly packed drum programming, with a thumping kick and scratching hi-hat patterns driving the track forward. A gradual synth build develops tension before opening into a higher impact drop led by larger synth movements.

Shabaam – Zakatool is out May 29th on Solid Dark.
