Premiere: FENRA – CHICAGO PM
Portland-based creative FENRA makes a return to familiar territory with the forthcoming release of his three-track ‘CHICAGO PM’ EP.
Arriving via Base Layer Records, the release holds his previously released ‘CHICAGO’ original as it’s point of reference, resulting in three new recordings which each shift the arrangement and structure in a different direction sonically.
We premiere the title track ‘CHICAGO PM’, characterised by a driven, synth-focused approach that emphasises texture and rhythm around elastic and punchy sound design.
“The EP started as an experiment: I took the stems from my track ‘CHICAGO’ and tried to reinterpret them three completely different ways. I was interested in how far the same source material could be pulled while still feeling connected.” – FENRA
FENRA – CHICAGO PM EP is out March 13th on Base Layer Records.
