Premiere: Cress – Gift Horse In The Mouth

London-based DJ and producer Cress is set to appear on Italian record label Early Reflex this week, with his forthcoming four-track ‘Subterrain’ EP. The release comprises ‘Pangram’, ‘Gift Horse In The Mouth’, ‘Tentacle’, and the closing title track.

Early Reflex’s catalogue also includes previous work from artists such as Alec Pace, Diessa, Small Crab, and Ikävä Pii.

At the centre of the project, ‘Gift Horse In The Mouth’ combines elastic synth textures with clicky percussion and thumping kick drums, resulting in a playful and slightly off-kilter club cut that balances groove and movement throughout.

Cress – Subterrain EP is out June 5th on Early Reflex.
