
London-based sound studio Mastery has released Wata Igarashi’s ‘Mineral’ as the lead single from their upcoming ‘Quantum Sound’ compilation, the project is also their first recorded music release, developed in partnership with fabric imprint Houndstooth.
‘Mineral’ features downtempo production with stripped-back elements, sustained strings, arpeggiating synth notes, and an ethereal soundscape.
The full compilation arrives February 12th and includes 11 tracks from Jon Hopkins, Hannah Holland, Wata Igarashi, Manami, Jennifer Loveless, and Alessandro Cortini, among others. A 60-minute continuous mix from Hannah Holland is also included with the release.
Mastery describes the project as “a psychedelic catalyst designed for eyes-closed listening”.
‘Quantum Sound’ showcase events will also take place at fabric London on February 10th and Funkhaus, Berlin on February 14th.
