So who is Manuel Moreno?

One who doesn’t sleep at night (just kidding I love sleep). I have an Italian father and a Spanish mother, and I was raised in the most Swiss part of Switzerland, Appenzell, with cows and mountains and yodelers.

Your ‘I Don’t Sleep At Night’ player just went out on Hive Audio, tell us the inspiration behind the EP?

I was trying out one of my recently acquired synthesizers and made a quite catchy riff, then one thing lead to another.

It’s Hive’s 40th release, it must mean a lot for them to mark the milestone with your music?

Yeah, they must really love me (jk, to be honest I think it’s just coincidence).

You have music on Stil Vor Talent, 8-Bit, Ritter Butzke and of course Hive among others, a pretty nice catalogue?

Manuel Moreno

I’m really happy that I’m part of these labels, but the catalogue does have development potential.

Is there a label you haven’t yet released on that’s still in your sights?

Manuel Moreno

Yes, there are several labels, but I don’t want to particularize on names. It depends more on where my music fits.

Tell us something we shouldn’t know about you?

The fact that I wanted to travel to Kiev without my passport. They didn’t let me through the security check, I missed my gig and pissed everyone off.

Your worst experience as a DJ?

Manuel Moreno

Reread my answer from question 5. I had to rebook all the flights, I was playing in Berlin the following day and I had to pay everything by myself, and as I already said, I pissed off a lot of people.
