Scottish techno producer Harvey McKay has died

In the same week that the electronic music community is mourning the loss of Get Physical co-founder Philipp Jung, Scottish techno artist Harvey McKay has also sadly passed away.

He became a consistent presence across the scene through a catalogue of club-focused releases and remix work. The cause of his death has not been publicly confirmed.

Over the years, Harvey released music on record labels including Bedrock, Cocoon Recordings, BEK Audio, and Kneaded Pains, developing a sound closely associated with direct and stripped-back techno.

Alongside his own original productions, he also contributed remix work for artists such as Daniel Avery, Jay Lumen, and Riva Starr.

Thoughts are with his family, friends, and those close to him.
