Floorplan debut on fabric label with fabric Presents mixtape
Robert Hood and his daughter Lyric Hood step up as Floorplan for their debut entry in the fabric presents mixtape series, marking a major release for both the duo and the London institution.
Their new single ‘You’re A Shining Star’ arrives today, and is one of two exclusive tracks from them featured in the forthcoming release.
Out November 28th, the full compilation promises Floorplan’s signature style of Detroit-rooted techno and gospel-fired club energy, with the complete tracklist still to be revealed.
Hood, a foundational figure in Detroit techno and founder of the M-Plant label, previously appeared in the club’s long-running series with Fabric 39 back in 2008. The fabric Presents series, launched in 2019, has since hosted a range of leading names including Bonobo, Overmono, The Streets, Laurent Garnier, Helena Hauff, and TSHA.
